Hey folks,

First of all welcome to the brand new newsletter for Gamedev.js Survey specifically, so I don't need to email you through Gmail manually. If you participated in any of the editions you are on the list, but can unsubscribe at any time on your own.

That said, thank you once again to all who sent their responses to the 2025 edition - we've ended up with 445 submitted surveys, which I think is a great result given the form was open for only 11 days in December!

Results are out

The announcement blog post was published already - you can read the 2025 Report online or download the PDF with the same content. Detailed answers (without any personal data like emails or website urls) are available on GitHub.

If you’re on social media please boost the announcement on Twitter / Mastodon / Bluesky, thanks!

Lucky winners

Random folks were emailed to claim $50 each - check your spam to make sure you didn't miss anything.

Next Survey in 2026

We've announced the dates for the Gamedev.js Survey 2026 already, so we hopefully won't end up with rushed edition in December again. Sixth Survey will be open in August, around js13kGames 2026, with the results planned to be published at the beginning of October.

Looking for a Partner

The 2025 edition's Partner was GitHub, and we're already looking for a company interested in helping with the 2026 edition - remember it's only a single entity that will claim all the glory, so if you think you know some folks that could be a good fit please reply to this email and let us know, thank you!

Jam and Weekly

Ps. The yearly Gamedev.js Jam 2026 will be happening as usual in April, so feel free to join on Itch if you consider participating. Plus the usual reminder about the Gamedev.js Weekly serving general web gamedev news every Friday.

Cheers,
Andrzej.
